Checking into Summer

Hello there and welcome to summer! It’s hot hot hot in Tennessee and my guess is that it will be for a while.

I wanted to say welcome to some new people - I have added you if you signed up during the Trailblazing Women of Country Tour - feel free to look around - I promise I don’t send too too many emails. Some of them are about music, sometimes other things - (I was the music director who played piano and fiddle to jog your memory) You can also go to my website www.meganpalmer.com to find out more about who I am and any tour dates I have coming up.

I think I am almost recovered from such a long tour - it was a huge undertaking and very fun overall to see so many awesome places and experience so many beautiful performing arts centers. I feel so fortunate to have been a part of it. I am now inspired to continue on making music and figuring out what is next!

Later this summer/fall, a band I am in with co-writer Bob Lewis is going to drop. We are finalizing artwork right now but the music is done and I’m excited about that. As I know more, I will be posting more about it. It’s been a labor of love that we have been working on for several years and its titled ‘Shift.’ I can’t wait to get it out into the world. We are playing a show in Nashville on 7/31- our first show in quite a while since I’ve been on the road so much this year.

I’m actually heading out west again tomorrow to catch up with some family and have a real vacation. Contemplating bringing a guitar because I might have some time to work on songs. I’ll be with my husband Jason and we’ve been talking about collaborating more and learning more songs together - so maybe it’s time we get to it (Ok Jason?)
